As long as I can remember, my life has relied on words to keep record of it.
My mind has always been filled — overflowing with vast, illogical thoughts colliding with each other.
Later, the things I wanted to say did not become fewer.
But my ability to say them seemed continuously suppressed.
What remained were fragments.
As thoughts collided within this small body, my eyes began to work better than my mouth.
And so these records began from 2019 until now.
They will continue until the end of my life.

People who know me probably know that I absolutely love picking up stones and giving them to others.
It traces back to primary school, when my parents made me watch Departures (Okuribito).
The idea of turning a stone into a gesture of the heart — and offering it to someone you cherish — came from that film. (It’s very good)
Later, it became more widely known that I love penguins (because penguins are monogamous).
And sea otters are known to give stones they treasure to someone they like.
Even though the people around me are probably tired of me handing them stones all the time,
they still complain while carefully keeping them anyway.
(Not everyone. Don’t think I don’t know ><)
But that’s fine.
This year I’ve walked quite a lot, and collected quite a lot of stones.
And since I’ve decided I won’t be walking so much in the near future,
I’d like to give them to you.
